All the Upcoming Hollywood and Bollywood Movies Releasing in 2019

If you’ve been waiting to see your favorite movies in the big screen this year, it’s time to start counting down the upcoming Hollywood movies in India. Here’s a look at the upcoming films you can watch in 2019.

Kangana Ranaut’s comedy film Dhaakad is hitting the big screen on May 20. The film stars Arjun Rampal and Divya Dutta. Another movie coming out in May is Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway, based on a true incident. Anek, directed by Anubhav Sinha, will premiere on May 27. The sequel to the 1986 movie Top Gun will also hit theaters on May 27.

Regardless of the budget, the 2020 movies are likely to break records for box office gross in India and worldwide. Hollywood producers are spending more money to make quality films. The upcoming Avengers Endgame, for example, will feature social issues and have a lot of action. It’s likely that a movie starring Chris Pratt will rake in more money than a movie that costs less than $200 million.

Falling on the same month as October is a hefty month for new releases. The month includes over seven major new releases. Joaquin Phoenix plays the villainous Arthur Fleck, who descends into madness in his quest to take down the criminal underworld. The Joker will hit the screen on October 2 before the end of the year. And for true Saif Ali Khan fans, there’s ‘Red Captain’, starring Hrithik-Tiger.

Despite the influx of superhero films, the upcoming hollywood movies in India are unlikely to be as popular as some of the bigger names. Among the most anticipated films of the year are movies starring Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson. Other popular movies slated to hit the Indian box office this year include Toy Story 4 and Spider-Man: Far From Home. Despite the recent success of these films, they still won’t be big money makers in India.

Foot Fairy: Another movie with a real-life horror theme, this thriller stars Gulshan Devaiah as a detective. Foot Fairy explores the mind of a serial killer and the aftermath of his crimes. The serial killer left decapitated bodies outside of Tihar Jail in 2006 with notes mocking the police. Foot Fairy recreates the manhunt and explores his mental state.

Captain Marvel: A sequel to Marvel’s superhero franchise will be directed by Nia DaCosta and will star Brie Larson and Chris Evans. The movie will also star Zawe Ashton as the villain, a character named Photon. The director is Candyman helmer Nia DaCosta. Another upcoming film is Blade, a thriller starring Mahershala Ali. It also stars Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre. Blade director Bassam Tariq has screenwriting duties for this movie.
